Christmas 2008

What an exciting end to an amazing year! For the Christmas holiday Sean and Charmaine were able to celebrate with Charmaine’s sisters down in Carlsbad. The Ligsay Crew (Candice and Josh, Chanel, Justin, and Baby Branden) drove down from Sacramento Christmas Eve arriving in the early morning hours of Christmas day. Branden received his first handmade blanket from Auntie Charmaine and his first San Diego Chargers outfit including socks.

Christmas day was filled with lots of family time including a visit from Valerie, Varney, Francis, and surprise guest Auntie Amor. Fun had by all especially during the Catch Phrase Marathon. Ligsay Girls vs the Boyz. Without a doubt the Ligsay Girls Won! Chanel tell us again when does a full moon happen? And Francis where can we get some of those Astroid Altoids? Oh and Charmaine what’s a Bar-O-Meter?

The next day the group headed out and spent some time on the Carlsbad Beach. Picnic on the beach on December 26th…only in Southern California. After many picture perfect shots they all headed down to Mira Mesa to hang out with Mackenzie. Mackenzie gave them the tour of the house, all his video games, and a round of Tetrus. Oddly enough, Chanel kicked everyone’s butt. Uncle Henry treated the hungery group to Sushi and drinks! What an awesome meal.

You can’t visit Southern California without visiting Mama Ligsay! 4 generations all under one roof! Tears rolled down Mama’s eyes at the sight of her Great Grandson. Branden wait until you’re old enough to understand the many many stories Mama has in store for you.

Sunday Sunday Sunday! Chargers vs. Broncos for a playoff birth. After a 2 hour adventure in the car looking for parking the older kids enjoyed their 3rd row seats behind the Chargers bench! What an amazing game. Chargers kicked some Bronco butt. There was so much cheering, screaming voices were lost by all.

And then it was good-bye. Until the next adventure. Happy New Year to all!
